Tooth loss is not a serious problem anymore, after the emergence of new implant techniques, which are included in our center “Beauty Valleys Clinic” under the supervision of the most skilled doctors and specialists who will help you to replace your lost teeth and choose what suits you.
What are Dental Implants?
It is a process that relies on implants made of safe metal materials, replacing the original tooth as a result of infection or bacterial infection in the tissue surrounding it, providing a permanent base for fixed replacement teeth.
Compared to bridges, crowns and dentures, dental implants are a permanent and effective long-term solution for people suffering from tooth loss, erosion or chronic dental problems. Dental implants have become a new standard in tooth replacement because they fit and work just like natural teeth.
Dental implants are a complicated surgical procedure. It consists of 3 steps:
- Implant: It is the screw that acts as the root of the new tooth, which is permanently implanted in the jaw.
- Abutment: A permanent, but removable, clinician-friendly connector that supports and holds a tooth, or group of teeth.
- Crown: It is the artificial tooth itself, which is the part of the tooth that you can see, and it is usually made of Zirconium or Porcelain.
Dental implants can be done for one tooth, several teeth, or a complete dental arch (the upper set of teeth, or the lower set of teeth), and if you are a candidate for this option and want to restore a complete dental arch, you may be an ideal candidate for full mouth treatment.
The procedures or steps of the dental implant process:
The dental implant procedure is a multi-stage process, which can be performed over a period of more than a month, depending on each case. All of these stages are considered within the overall process as a whole, as they include some of the reforms and procedures that need to be done before the transplant procedure.
(But first of all, the doctor must examine the area covered by the dental implant and conduct a clinical evaluation to see if the patient is a good candidate for dental implants or not.)
- Removal of damaged teeth (if any):
The patient may need to wait about 10 weeks for the site to recover properly.
- Jaw bone preparation (bone grafting):
Because dental implants are fixed to the jawbone, they need enough healthy bones in order to rest healthy.
- Dental implant surgery:
It takes an hour less or more; it varies depending on the patient’s case and its complexity.
- Bone growth and healing (osseointegration):
This stage does not involve the patient much, because during the 2-3 months that it takes for the bone fusion to complete, patients can go to their normal daily lives.
- Stent location:
Again, abutment placement may involve a quick dental implant surgery where the implant is exposed from below the gum line and the abutment is installed. Once in place, it closes again to allow the area to recover. Recovery time usually takes about two weeks.
- Permanent dental crown (artificial tooth).
What are the advantages of dental implants?
Through dental implants, missing teeth can be replaced without affecting or changing adjacent teeth. Furthermore, since dental implants integrate with the bone structure, they are very stable and give a large percentage of the shape, appearance and function of natural teeth.
Do dental implants have side effects?
sure, some side effects may occur, but they are not dangerous, like:
– Feeling some slight pain after the anesthesia wears off.
– Inflammation of the gums can occur and can be treated with medicines.
– Temporary swelling of the face.
What is the cost of dental implants in Turkey?
It is difficult to accurately monitor and determine the cost of dental implants, and it is difficult to determine a fixed price for it, as it varies according to each case, the need for pre-implantation treatments and any other additional procedures and costs.
But in general, the cost of this operation in Turkey is much lower than in other countries.
